I have had the good fortune of being involved with the evolution of refractive surgery over the past 25 years. The remarkable advances in laser technology that have been made have allowed millions of patients in the world to enjoy greater freedom from glasses and contact lenses.
It is very gratifying to me to see how life changing it can be to give my patients the ability to see fine details, bright colors, and great distances without the aid of optical devices. The decision to have vision correction surgery is both very exciting and concerning to many people, and I feel that it is important that you know that your safety is my highest priority. I meet with each of my patients well before surgery, not only to exam their eyes, but to also individualize decisions about their procedure. It is very important that during the vital periods before, during, and after surgery, I am personally involved in all the decisions concerning your eye care.
